Prelim is a very fine, extremely stable, water-based, non-scratching paste designed to remove layers of oxidation from most surfaces. It leaves a virgin finish on the cleaned article which is then ready to accept paints, glazes, or Renaissance Wax. Prelim will remove tarnish from gilded surfaces without scratching or removing the gilding.
