Description
Swann & Morton scalpel handles are sold separately from the corresponding blades, and we stock a wide selection of both. The majority of handles are made of a nickel alloy; two acrylic handles are also available. Some feel the acrylic handles offer improved control. Our complete line includes #3, #3L, #4. #4L, #7, and #9 in the nickel as well as #5A and #6A in acrylic. Additionally, a retractable #3 handle is also offered; it is designed to house its blades when they are not in use. Handles and the blades which correspond to them are as noted:
Handle 3, 3L, 5A, 7, and 9 are used with with 6, 9, 10, 10A, 11, 12, and 15 blades.
Handles 3 and 3L only may be used with special blades 11P, 15A, 15T, and G3.
Handles 4, 4L, and 6A are for use with blades 20, 21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 25A, 26, and 27.
