Safe Paint & Varnish
Remover (SPVR) is the first paint removal gel to be available which is both
fast acting and chemically safe. It is a broad spectrum product which will soak
through virtually every type of paint. It is a conservation-friendly
alternative to Nitromors. Patented Safe Paint & Varnish Remover (SPVR) is a
non- caustic, non-methylene chloride product. SPVR’s new formulation contains
biodegradable, neutral, non-corrosive ingredients [Glycol ether, purified
water, ethanol (approximately 11%), neutral surfactants, cellulose,
triethanolamine and synthetic preservative]. SPVR is a thick gel with excellent
non-drip characteristics which can be used both internally and externally to
remove gloss, emulsion and/or vinyl silk, interior textured paint and varnish
from wood, plaster or metal surfaces.

One liter of SPVR will
cover approximately 2 to 4 square meters. 25 liters of SPVR will cover up to

MicroMesh
cushioned abrasives are backed with a flexible cloth and a resilient inner
layer and feature large, micron-graded silicone carbide crystals. The
“cushioning” prevents deep random scratches, common when using conventional
abrasives. You may choose to use conventional grit sandpaper and then complete
the polishing process with this kit, beginning with 1500 grit and working up as
needed. Nine belts are included with the kit, one of each of the standard grades:
1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12,000, as well as the
sanding stick tool itself. You may choose to use a bit of water to cool the
surface you are working on and extend the life of the belts.

Nifty new
swabs are available in packs of twelve in two different sizes. 2.75” long swabs
feature tiny, 1/8” heads and are ideal for polishing narrow areas and small, intricate
parts. Larger, 5” long swabs feature 3/8” wide heads. Both sets feature fairly
rigid plastic handles and one swab head in each of the following grits (from
coarse to fine): 100MX, 120MX, 150MX, 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000,
8000, and 12,000. The abrasive surfaces of the swabs may be washed and dried,
then re-used time and again.

Soft white
